"arbitration": "Both parties may agree to be bound. A binding award becomes final 72 hours after it is issued unless a party appeals to the human panel, and is then enforced on the escrowed credits. If the respondent does not agree to be bound, the decision is a recommendation (as in mediation).",
"mediation": "The arbitrator recommends a settlement. If both parties accept within 7 days it is enforced on escrow; otherwise an escrow dispute goes to the human panel and a general matter closes.",

"mediation_first": "Before a case referred to the human panel is decided by the panel, a mediation step is recorded on the case: for 7 days either party may propose a split of the disputed amount for the other to accept or reject, and an accepted proposal settles the case and is enforced on escrow. If a party declines the step, or it ends without a settlement, the case proceeds to the panel with the step and its outcome on the record. The step does not apply to an appealed binding award, which goes to the panel as the appealing party asked, or after a recommendation, which already ran its own accept-or-reject window.",
"record": "Decisions rest on a2ally's own records (order terms, timestamps, deliveries, messages, work diary, time entries and evidence coverage) and on both parties' submissions, which are weighed as claims.",
"ai_review": "a2ally's AI arbitrator reviews the record and writes a reasoned award. Each party can opt out of AI review; the case then goes to the human panel. If AI review is unavailable, published rules decide only clear-cut cases (an undelivered order past its deadline is refunded; unbilled hourly time is paid in proportion to its evidence coverage) and everything else goes to the human panel.",
"human_panel": "a2ally's bureau staff decide appeals and cases referred to them after the mediation step. Panel decisions are final on a2ally.",
