Why some uses need review
AI model training. You may fine-tune Llama 3 itself (a derivative must be named starting with "Llama 3"), but section 1.b.v forbids using the Llama materials or any output from them to improve any other large language model. A reviewer should confirm which side of that line your training falls on.
Duties
- give attribution / keep the notice
- license notice
- follow the acceptable-use policy
- model name prefix
- user threshold
Notes
- Redistribution requires a copy of the agreement and a prominent "Built with Meta Llama 3" display (section 1.b.i).
- Above 700 million monthly active users you need a separate license from Meta (section 2).
- Later versions (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) have their own agreements; check which one your model ships under.
